The TSX is desperately trying to make some gains, at least for now

The stock market is a rough place to be, but it look like we had reached the lowest point in this crisis - at least I wish - and the TSX is desperately trying to gain some points. My non-registered portfolio closed today session at $172 388.33, my TFSA portfolio at $76 499.81, and my RRSP portfolio, stocks only, at $37 902.39, which is not too bad overall. Weed stocks are gaining in notoriety and it has good effect on my APH stocks. My non-registered portfolio may be on the 172k, but it have everything to be on the 190k mark.

Welcome in my investment portfolios TFI International Inc. (TFII) and Cargojet Inc. (CJT)!

I did a few investments move this past Friday. As you know, I was getting ready to sell all of my NTR shares, but I changed my mind. Instead, I partly sell my NTR investment, I actually sold half of my shares. I decided to keep some NTR shares in because its involvement in the potash business, and no matter what I like or not NTR, it brings a nice diversification inside my portfolio. I am satisfied with this move. Following my sell of a few NTR shares, I decided to move forward with a new investment. I decided to invest in TFI International Inc. (TFII) inside my non-registered portfolio. I had TFII in my radar for a little while now and I am pleased with this new investment.

One day, I know I will pay off my margin, but right now, there's just too much I want to do with mu TSX baby. Its like junkie who had to deal with its drug addiction. He promised that tomorrow, he won't consume, but guess what... I am exactly in the same boat, at the exception that I hope that my addiction will conduct to a healthier financial situation. My addiction is my stocks and the TSX is the place of all of my obsessions. Because it seems that it hold to everything that I want. I want the best Canadian businesses to be alive in well in my investment portfolio, and served my personal interests.

I proceed with some changes inside my TFSA portfolio as well. I decided to sell my investments in Choice Properties Real Estate Investment Trust (CHP.UN) and Firm Capital Mortgage Investment Corporation (FC). Those two were not gaining much in capital gains. I now preferred to invest in quality stocks and I don't mind if they pay less in term of dividend. Following the sell of CHP.UN and FC, I decided to invest in another stock that was in my radar: Cargojet Inc. (CJT).

For now, I still hold to all of my oil stocks: Enbridge Income Fund Holdings Inc. (ENF), Enbridge Inc. (ENB), Parkland Fuel Corp (PKI) and Pembina Pipeline Corporation (PPL). This past Friday, Parkland Fuel Corp (PKI) closed the session at $45.96, its highest value for the past 52 weeks.

Another interesting stock that reach its 52 weeks high is: MTY Food Group Inc. (MTY). Derek Foster hold to Restaurant Brands International Inc. (QSR) in his portfolio, but personnaly, I prefer MTY. Could MTY be part of my portfolio one day? The answer is: YES!

It makes me happy to invest in new stocks. With my new investments, I had helped the TSX to gain 97.16 points this past Friday. Go go go! The TSX is need of a lot of love and encouragement right now. I am willing to provide all that to her.

Getting ready to say goodbye to Nutrien Ltd. (NTR)

Another really difficult day for the TSX, as well as for the American markets. My non-registered portfolio close the day at $171 345.34, my TFSA portfolio at $76 123.63, and my RRSP portfolio, stocks only, at $37 643.49. Its a tough situation, but hard times are always the best time to have a good hard look at yourself.... In my case, I am sitting my pretty assets on a big fat margin of over $98 000. That's borrowed money that I don't own. And owning a big fat margin is quite dangerous these days. Fact is, we could be in for more difficult days to come.

In the old days, I just adore my Agrium stocks, I made a great deal of money when Nutrien Ltd. (NTR) was Agrium. I am currently on a little capital gain on NTR and I find that this is just the really perfect time to sell NTR and pay down my margin. I am also looking forward to sell a few other stocks of my non-registered portfolio: Saputo Inc. (SAP), and BCE Inc. (BCE). This will help to reduce my margin and I really have no problem with selling those 3 stocks.

Now, selling stocks inside a TFSA portfolio is quite nice because while doing so, you won't pay tax on the capital gain. Inside my TFSA, I have a few stocks which are in good position, with a capital gain: BMO, CHP.UN, FC, NA, NWC and CM. I don't really care about those stocks and I am thinking about selling them inside my TFSA, and after transferred the cash to my margin, to pay it off.

All together, the sell of those assets will hep to bring down my margin to $75 000, which is more better. I could even push it harder. In my investment life, I had invested in oil only because Derek Foster, in his early days, was holding to PPL, and ENF, and ENB. I am not that a fan of oil and I find it quite horrible for me to be an oil investor. Like if I would be a piece of shit or something even worst. The only problem is that I had recorded so far a lot of $$$ in term of capital gain on those stocks. So if I sell them, I will pay taxes on the capital gain, because I hold PPL, ENF and ENB in my non-registered portfolio.

I am still thinking, but its certainly clear for me that I am going to sell NTR tomorrow, and SAP, and BCE.

While waiting for the marijuana legalization, the TSX is not getting high

I hope you all had an Happy Thanksgiving investors! I spent mine in the beautiful New Brunswick and I had a nice time, look for yourself.

 Magic mushrooms ;-)

 Dinner is ready!

I saw a moose for the second time of my life. It was a female, as you can see, who quietly cross the road. When I saw her, I quickly got out of my dad truck and run to her, with my camera... And for a few seconds, the bitch look at me, I look at her, and it was like all the power of the woods was enveloping me. And trust me, I will need all the power available at my disposal to face the next coming days. It was a magical moment. Just look at me for a few seconds and left. On the other side of the road, a car was coming... But the moose was gone.

These days, the TSX is not exactly in good shape, and so is the NASDAQ. It's quite hard to be under the 16 000 points, and it's much harder when the TSX trade in the 15 500 points... The markets are facing some major sell-off because of some stupid, nervous investors. Please, don't be like them. This situation is disappointing, but it's not hopeless. And I am really proud to say that once again, this down market is not affecting me. My non-registered portfolio is trading at $173 847.89 (it's usually at 180k), my TFSA portfolio closed today session at $76 961.93 (it's usually at 80k), and my RRSP portfolio (stocks only), at $38 055.59 (it's usually at 40k). Yes, I am facing a major drop off, but it's not an excuse to panic, and there's always a bright side. For example, currently, Parkland Fuel Corp (PKI) is on an extraordinary gain. PKI gains today 5%, while the TSX as losing 2.12%. APH also made nice gain today.

Its always hard to invest when the market is down, but with time, the disturbance that comes with a down market is less and less (trust me), and deep inside, you'll find the courage to invest. Why? Because this is the time to make your money out of the stocks market. This is a good time to buy quality stocks at a cheap price. I built a big piece of my "fortune" by investing in stocks after the 2008 market crash and this is your opportunity to do exactly the same thing. BUT - invest using real cash, no margin. Don't know what to invest in? I am going to help you, just like usual. Right now, I am your best friend. Check out at the list of my really best stocks:

Canadian National Railway Co (CNR)
Bank of Nova Scotia (BNS)
Methanex Corporation (MX)
Fortis Inc. (FTS)
Corby Distilleries Limited (CDL.A)
Premium Brands Holdings Corporation (PBH)
EnerCare Inc. (ECI)
TMX Group Inc. (X)
Savaria Corporation (SIS)

Emera Incorporated (EMA)
BCE Inc. (BCE)
Saputo Inc. (SAP)
CT Real Estate Investment Trust (CRT.UN)
Morneau Shepell Inc. (MSI)
Royal Bank of Canada (RY)
Andrew Peller Limited (ADW.A)
Canadian Imperial Bank Of Commerce (CM)
Toronto-Dominion Bank (TD)
Boyd Group Income Fund (BYD.UN)
Lassonde Inc. (LAS.A)
Park Lawn Corporation (PLC)
Northview Apartment Real Estate Investment Trust (NVU.UN)
Morneau Shepell Inc. (MSI)
Toromont Industries Ltd (TIH)
Canadian Apartment Properties Real Estate Investment Trust (CAR.UN)
Berkshire Hathaway Inc. (BRK.B)
Canadian Real Estate Investment Trust (REF.UN)
WSP Global Inc. (WSP)
Jamieson Wellness Inc. (JWEL)
New Flyer Industries Inc. (NFI)
Parkland Fuel Corp (PKI)
CGI Group Inc. Class A Subordinate Voting Shares (GIB.A)

How to use this list? If you already hold to some bank stocks, go with something else, like PLC, or SIS. I also like TIH. I hold on to many great stocks in my portfolio, but this is a quick list to help you out. During those hard times, you can certainly count on the New Brunswicker that I am, but don't count on Jean-François Tardif and his JFT Strategies Fund (JFS.UN) to help you out, both the man and the fund are absolutely going nowhere.

While facing a down market, yes, your portfolio go down, but its part of the game. You need to be able to take that shit down and don't let the TSX get into to you and scare you. It's time to be strong like a warrior. And its also time to admire all the health built over the years. Personally, my PBH investment is still at +347%, my PPL, at +102%, etc... Because I started investing years ago, I am still in a good spot with my portfolio, but I am certainly not on top of my game right now.

While facing a big drop in your portfolio because of the TSX, you need to remain courageous. If you have some saving, invest in quality stocks. I have about 2k available, and your little favorite will do so, I just have to think about what I am going to invest in. And of course, I will let you know because right now, I am the best thing you got and you know it. I am like the little angel that is on earth to protect you and I just love you so much that you'll never know.

And this being said, it's important to keep busy during in a down market. Here are a few things that I do to keep busy that may help you as well:
-Check out your stuff, see what you don't use and put it on sell on Kijiji
-Clean your place
-Clean your closet, sell or give away the clothes you don't wear anymore
-Do your laundry
-Start a blog (so you can always try to beat me at my own game -we'll see what you can do)
-Cook a banana bread
-Go to the gym
-Listen to The Sopranos (I have a secret love crush on James Gandolfini, too bad he passed away a few years ago)
-Make a list of things you have to do
-Start thinking of your shopping for Christmas!
-If you have a smartphone, download Yahoo Finance and enter the stocks you own in your portfolio so you can give it a check while you are at a coffee shop

And I don't have any more ideas, for now, you get the picture. Just keep busy, and breathe. Now, I am really your best friend.

I now have a LG K4 cell phone and its about all for the big news

Life gets boring when the TSX herself is extremely overwhelming BORINGGGG.

I finally got a new cell phone, I bought an LG K4 at $120 and a memory card for it. It's quite easy to use. I guess I taught it was more complicated. That phone is basically like a little computer, but at a good price. I am with Chatr Mobile, which is a company own by Rogers. Chatr offers great plans and great phones at a good price. No need to spend several hundred on an iPhone. I don't own an iPhone, but I own an iPod which is practical when I am at the gym. iPhones are for idiots. Money is too precious to be spending whatever, whenever.

A new NAFTA deal with a new name had been reached, however, the TSX is not on high gains right now. The new agreement will need to be accepted by the Congress, but it's a simple formality. So why the TSX is not reacting positively? Personally, I think that the sweet baby is simply traumatized by months are hard negotiations and is simply in need of pure money love, and of a lot of care and attention before gaining points. With this going on, my non-registered portfolio closed today session at a low $179 746.83, my TFSA portfolio at $79 196.38, and my RRSP portfolio, stocks only, at
$39 564.21.

Currently, the only fun thing going on is that I have $398.90 in cash inside of my TFSA, that amount is coming from dividend distribution. I am going to place a new investment move once that amount reaches $500. Currently Pollard Banknote Limited (PBL) is receiving media attention and it might not be a bad thing. But I am not that move by PBL. NEXT please. I can find better than PBL. But that's the best the Globe and Mail can do for you.

Welcome in my non-registered portfolio Goodfood Market Corp. (FOOD)

I was talking to my mom this evening when I dropped my cell phone and it seem like I broke it, I wasn't able to call her back. I am wishing she's not worrying too much, but I had warned her before . I could had runned to a payphone, but I didn't bother. This is actually not a bad thing as I wanted to buy a more modern cell phone for a little while now. I just had a little Nokia phone, which had a bad camera and no wireless or Internet access what so ever. I am just hoping that its not too difficult to call on a press screen kind of phone. From now on I will call her on speaker phone, that way I won't drop my cell while doing some stuff around in my apartment.

It look like a NAFTA deal had been signed and its quite a release. All this drama surrounding the NAFTA had put a lot of stress on the TSX and with this new deal, I hope that the TSX will gain some interesting points.

The sell of my RNX shares gave me a nice profit, but all that money had almost been spend as I bought a pair of ecco boots, some clothes and I am also soon going for a few days in New Brunswick so I will have to buy my bus tickets, and not to forget, a new cell phone...

My experience with RNX gave me the taste for a little bit of trading, which I like to call hit and run kind of sexy move. I bough some shares of Goodfood Market Corp. (FOOD) in the hope to sell soon, probably not for a big profit like RNX, but still, I thing there's place for a nice profit on this one, and maybe it will happen tomorrow, is the TSX gains, let say, 100, or why not 200 points.

I am all in for a 200 points gain tomorrow. Go go go TSX, you can do it. Just do it!

Thank you for the free cash Royal Nickel Corporation (RNX)

For now at least, Brian Gallant remain Prime Minister of New Brunswick. So this morning, I went to work as if it was an ordinary day. And of course, I have my eyes stuck on RNX at the market opening. I was unhappy to see it slide all the way down and at a point, that was it, I needed to follow the flow, and I sold all of my Royal Nickel Corporation (RNX) shares and made closed to 1k in profit in the process, which make me happy. This extra cash is more than welcome especially knowing that I am going away for a few days in New Brunswick.

Royal Nickel Corporation (RNX) on extraordinary gain

It's still a tight fight in New Brunswick between Liberal and Tories. I guess we'll know who's our Prime Minister only later on tonight. It's been quite a stressful day. I might not be able to go to work tomorrow if the Tories win. I am going to call in sick, cry until I have no tears left, get drunk, and... quietly watched Royal Nickel Corporation (RNX) hit hard on the $2 per share. RNX gains had been amazing today. I never saw a growth of 105.36% in one day for a stock. Inside my non-registered portfolio, RNX is at +161.79%. I am exceeding the $1 500 profit. In result, my non-registered is at $185 805.08. Wow wow wow.

My move on RNX a week ago wasn't a plan one, I was even feeling ashame to announced that I had invested in that penny stock... But I felt excited and I felt I was going somewhere... All this to say that you really know what to expect when you invest in a stock. It's like jumping into the void. However, usually speaking, when it comes to dividend stock that been around for a long time, we usually know what to expect.

I recently discovered that Derek Foster hold on to some Savaria Corporation (SIS) stocks, just like me. Recently SIS had increased its dividend by 17%. My dividend income is now at $8 737.16 (excluding RRSP).

There's a lot of good stuff going on on the TSX, but the non-NAFTA crisis situation remains and in result, everything seems to be fragile and its difficult.

Is there room for more gain for RNX?

My answer: yes, but I don't plan to hold on for a really long time. I may decide to sell at anything.

Garibaldi Resources Corp. vs Royal Nickel Corporation, in which Eric Sprott darling should you invest?

Super easy, the answer is Royal Nickel Corporation (RNX).

Tomorrow is an important day. It's the provincial elections in New Brunswick. Its too bad I cannot vote, even if its where I am coming from. Personally, I hope that the Liberal Party of Brian Gallant will win. It's going to be a tight run, but I hope that Liberal will win. And if they do, its probably going to be a minority government, unfortunately. I cannot believe that New Brunswick can be run by a leader that doesn't speak French. Of my adult life, let say for the last twenty years, I think that we had been lucky enough, but we always have Prime Minister who had to speak French in New Brunswick. It would be disrespectful for Acadians to be lead by someone who doesn't understand us. It would be both disrespectful and insulting. No square head (!!!) as Prime Minister of New Brunswick PLEASE.

The TSX closed Friday session at a good 16 200+ points. My non-registered portfolio closed the session at $184 721.15, my TFSA portfolio at $80 100.77, and my RRSP portfolio (stocks only) at $39 921.55.

I am currently surfing on a good wave and my latest investment made a few days ago in Royal Nickel Corporation (RNX) was quite profitable. RNX gain 25.2% inside my non-registered portfolio. Over the years, I had invested in multiple stocks, and sells many among the way, even if I am mostly a buy-and-hold investor. I mostly invest for the long run. In the case of Royal Nickel Corporation (RNX), I wanted to do a quick buy and a quick sell to earn $$$, but I decided to hold for now, despite Friday big gains for Royal Nickel Corporation (RNX). I read somewhere that RNX could be a good sell at $3 so that's my number. I am in for a couple thousand profit. Feeling alive now? Hell yeah! ;-)

Australia is a country rich on gold. If some important amount had been found, chances are that we might be in for more gold when it comes to RNX. This is not the first time that I am investing in Royal Nickel Corporation (RNX). I had invested in RNX back in 2016. But this time, its the good one. I plan to hold for now. More juicy profit to come. Currently, my interest in TFI International Inc. (TFII), Cargojet Inc. (CJT) and Domtar Corporation (UFS) had faded away. I may still have a little something for CJT. I don't have any investment plan for now. RNX came to me... like a punch in the face, from nowhere, and it was totally unwanted. I always have my eyes on Eric Sprott. Not that I absolutely want to have his stocks in my portfolio, but I like the idea to make a few bucks on his back for once.

Methanex Corporation (MX) is making me proud. King of the TSX is MX

MX is about to pop up its highest value ever. I am just saying.

On this nice autumn evening, I receive a visit from a representative of Quebec Solidaire. Not to lose any of my precious time, I explain that I am a New Brunswicker, and that I won't vote for Quebec Solidaire party because they want Quebec province to become a country of its own. As you wish fuckers, but don't count on my vote. I didn't say that to the representative, which was a really young girl and is probably doing door-to-door shit work simply to impress Gabriel Nadeau-Dubois, co-leader of Quebec Solidaire party. I didn't even spit on her. I am pretty impressed by my civilize behavior while facing a traitor to Canada. It seems like political parties have access to the election list with our name and address!!%!! WTF. I will kill myself before betraying my country. I would spit in from of any men or women in an age of taking it, but certainly not a poor little girl with obviously no brain on her shoulders. I am actually the perfect example of what Canada can do for their citizens. Its possible to get your pretty hands on thousands of dollars without too much efforts right here in Canada, while investing a bunch on the TSX.

Currently, Quebec provincial elections are really difficult because all leaders suck. But this is Quebec province, so this comes with no real surprise. It seems like François Legault of the CAQ doesn't know that New Brunswick is the only province in Canad who's officially bilingual. What a piece of shit! But I am going to vote for him anyway, loser! Because I am proudly Canadian, I cannot in any way vote for Quebec Solidaire, or the Parti québéois because, like Quebec Solidaire, they want Quebec to become a country. I certainly cannot vote for the Liberal party because Philippe Couillard is a piece of shit of its own. He had 4 years to fix Quebec province and as far as I am concern, absolutely nothing has improved in Quebec. I am an Acadian pure blood descendant and I don't have a family doctor and I had been living in Quebec province for over 10 years. Is that suppose to be a normal situation? Abnormal situations are being considered quite normal in Quebec province. You need to be the hell of an idiot to trully believe that Quebec needs to become a country of its own in ordre to offer proper care and services to its population. I had a family doctor in New Brunswick, but here in Montreal, I never got one. I wouldn't have any confidence in a Quebecker doctor anyway. So it doesn't matter. I hold on to my stocks like a sexy wild dog and nothing else matter. Those Quebec elections  and those Quebeckers are certainly annoying.

Today wasn't a good day for pot stocks - it show how extremely volatile they are - and Royal Nickel Corporation (RNX), but I still have confidence that RNX will pay off. The 9 000 ounces of gold that been discovered worth over $10 million in US dollars. And there might be more to come so why not? Wanna play? Let's go. It was disappointing to see RNX going down today, but I had a feeling of an in deep excitement all day long like if I possibly could make money out of RNX.

Currently, I am mostly interest in investing in Domtar Corporation (UFS). Great Canadian stocks created good deal of $$$ for Canadians. But that, dumb voters for Quebec Solidaire cannot understand that. Got to live it to kill it.

Thank you

Thank you for visiting!
