I really wanted to update my investment portfolio this weekend because, during this past Friday’s session, the TSX reached its highest level ever: 36,844.73 points. The TSX closed the session at 36,730.27 points, which is still respectable.
I ended Friday’s session with a net worth of $622,720.01. My oil investments, especially PPL, are weighing me down and keeping me from surpassing my best result ever, which I achieved exactly one month ago, on July 16, 2026: $631,085.60.
The gap between $622k and $631k is not that big, but with the TSX reaching record highs, I was hoping to see stronger gains in my portfolio as well. Still, a net worth of $622k is satisfying, no matter what.
I’ve now been back in Montreal for one week. During that time, my favorite flowers have been making a comeback! Look at this:
It’s been a busy week. I really enjoyed the Elvis concert at Théâtre St-Denis. I was very impressed by Martin Fontaine’s portrayal of Elvis. His voice is quite incredible, there’s really something of Elvis in it, which is spectacular. The makeup and costumes add to the charm, not to mention the amazing musicians and backup singers who perform with him onstage.
It was so much fun and totally worth the $160 I paid for my ticket! As you can see, I wasn’t anywhere close to the stage, but I still had a great time.
