My dividend income increased! The $1.1K mark per month is not out of reach!

Take a look at those beauties! There are beautiful flowers all around Montreal.

My investment portfolio registered great numbers yesterday, but they were not as high as the ones I registered back on May 25. Yesterday, my non-registered portfolio closed at $199,175.80, my U.S. portfolio at US$5,353.58, my RRSP stocks-only portfolio at $107,137.39, and my TFSA portfolio at $179,582.21.

Today, I was in for a good day, but I turned into the red at the end of the trading day. My stock portfolios closed the day with a loss of $1,600. Too bad, but my numbers are still quite good. If I am no longer within the $600,000 net worth, I may not be very far behind.

Recently, many bank stocks that I hold increased their dividend distributions:

TD Bank (TD): +3.7%
Royal Bank (RY): +7.3%
National Bank (NA): +6.4%
Bank of Nova Scotia (BNS): +3.6%

This helped push my dividend income to an equivalent of $1,065 per month, excluding the dividends earned inside my RRSP portfolio. Whatever dividends I earn inside my TFSA portfolio, I reinvest the money in TD Cash Management ETF (TCSH) units. To this day, I hold over $10,000 in TCSH. I consider that investment as being part of my savings. I may need to withdraw some money from it in July to pay for some expenses, but that had already been planned.

I would like to eventually increase my dividend income, but that’s a long-term goal. For the present time I am enjoying Montreal weather.
