Celebrating my $251,997.99 highest net worth value EVER with... a Conair Unbound Cordless Curling Iron!

This week had been quite amazing for my portfolio. Day after day after day, my portfolio followed the TSX and simply did what it needed to do: skyrocket high. It's been a fun past week. I do not remember experiencing such growth in a short period. Actually, I do not remember having my TSX on such positive gains for that many days in a row. Days like that need to be enjoyed and remembered as happy ones, because you never know what is going to happen next for the stock market.

While I was freezing in Montreal today - I am quite sensitive to the cold weather, despite being a cold bread New Brunswicker - my TSX did it again! Today, the TSX closed on a positive gain, at now 17,597.39 points, my TSX is better than ever. I didn't have time to write anything about it this past weekend, but you may have noticed, I published - again - a portfolio update. And the good news is that I am currently on my highest value EVER: $251,997.99. To celebrate my first $250 000 net worth value that I reached just a few days ago, on January 16, I bought myself... A MEGA HUGE DIAMOND RING lol. Na, just kidding..... But I did buy myself a little treat. I bought a cool gadget for my hair: the Conair Unbound Cordless Curling Iron.

As you can see, it's a must-have, even for girls who have curly hair like I have. It's nice to have some define curls withing the hot mess of hair. I bought mine at Shoppers, paying $140+ taxes for it, but it's money well spent. I just adore my new Unbound Cordless Curling Iron. I like this tool because it's quite quick to heat on and making amazing curls is easy as 1-2-3. Another thing that I love is that you cannot burn yourself by using this curler.

On this amazing day for the TSX, my non-registered portfolio closed today session at $123,112.64, my TFSA portfolio at $86,822.18, and my RRSP portfolio, stocks only - $50,321.30. During that time, Jean-François Tardif's JFT Strategies Fund (JFS.UN) is not even strong enough to be able to make it to the $15 per unit. I mean, come on! I am glad not to hold any JFS.UN in my portfolio. I want to hold to the best of what the TSX has to offer, and that excludes  JFT Strategies Fund (JFS.UN. Smart investors don't invest in some funds that are managed by Quebec managers. It's quite an easy task to figure out bad investments from a good one. Fact that Jean-François Tardif is a well-known investor doesn't change the fact that his JFT Strategies Fund (JFS.UN) had been made for morons only, which may be strictly for Quebecker investors ONLY. I clearly see where I don't want to see my beautiful money in, but it's quite harder to find what to invest that cash that I hold inside my TFSA portfolio. I have close to 4k in cash in my TFSA portfolio, and I just have no clue what to do with it. Jean-François Tardif is of no help at all. In a portfolio, there's just no place for mediocre fund managers like Tardif. Don't get impressed by the look, the speech, the manners. What you really need out there are investments that will who are stronger then you are. No time for bullshit like JFT Strategies Fund (JFS.UN).

For I think the first time of my investment life, I am in no rush to invest my money in something new and I just don't care much. It's quite unfortunate, but I no longer have that $4,942.63 in cash inside my savings account because I had: to pay my rent, and pay some credit card bills. So there will be no diamond ring, too bad! :-))))

I finally made it! My net worth is now exceeding $250,000! YEAH!

This is it!!!!!!

Ahhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Actually, my net worth is now at $250,595. With a TSX closing at 17,484.77 points, I knew that I was definitively on my highest value EVER! These days, the TSX set record highs day after day after day! Again today, I updated my investment portfolio. You may have noticed, on the date of today, Corby Distilleries Limited (CSW.A) is no longer from my non-registered portfolio. I decided to sell CSW.A. I was able to cash in a nice profit. The money went to pay down my margin account, which is now at $46,242.32. I now have $4,942.63 in my savings account. I will do my best to have a 5k for February and keep it that way.

I still have close to 4k in cash inside my TFSA portfolio. I will have more time this weekend to think about my next investments. This evening, Enquêtes, a French TV journalist show put the spotlight on a company that I own in my non-registered portfolio for many years: Spauto Inc. (SAP). Lino Saputo had a relationship with the mafia. The Saputo family came from Sicilia, where the mafia is from. At that time, it was the only way for them to do business. And let's not forget the really humble beginning of the Saputo family when they arrived in Canada, when Lino had to give his pocket money to his father, so they could have a $500 to start their cheese business in Montreal. It's quite a touching story. And this is exactly the kind of business that I want to hold in my portfolio. I want to hold businesses for which their owners would do absolutely everything they need to do and fight for their achievements. Because their achievements also became my achievements, since I am a stockholder.

The Saputo needed to have good relations with the mafia in order to expand their business in the US and other countries. It was the way it used to be, nothing to be ashamed of. However, Lino Saputo always denied any relations with the mafia. The spotlights are on Saputo Inc. right now because Lino Saputo had the really bad idea to publish his memoirs, in which he denied any relationship with the mafia. I guess for him, the exchanges he had with some mafia members were not wrong, but he should have never written a single word about it. Don't you ever believe that you can become bloody rich by always playing clean, because I don't believe it, especially while being an immigrate. Lino Saputo is the richest man in Quebec, he should have known that sometimes, you need to shut it off.

I don't mind dirty play from time to time, as long as it doesn't hurt no one. I do not believe in clean business.

An unwanted couple in Canada: "Prince" Harry & Meghan Markle

I just don't understand why Harry and Meghan want to live in Canada, both don't belong here and they are not Canadians. Both don't have strong accomplishments under their belt. They are being known as a Ken and Barbie doll, well dressed, looking good, but other than that, nothing else to take about. No matter what, Harry is part of the monarchy, that's his world, where he belongs. Just a few months following their royal wedding, their departure from full-time royal life doesn't make any sense. It's quite a selfish, self-centered move. I feel Harry and Meghan as being too involved in themselves. Personally, my relationship with the monarchy had evolved. In Canada, we are too much of a great country to have any link at all to any monarchy system. This is a bad gift coming from colonialism. It's quite disgusting to think that our hard earn money might have to go to cover the cost of the security of Harry and Meghan, especially knowing how much they had screamed that they wanted to be financially independent. I however somewhat have a good feeling about William, which I find is much more of a giver than his younger brother, much less selfish, and I think he can do a lot of good for his country. One day, he will make for sure a great king, but all that stuff doesn't concern Canada. We shouldn't be considered as part of their kingdom.

One of my favorite stock of the moment, Pembina Pipeline Corporation (PPL), had recently increased their dividend distribution. It allows me to push my annual dividend income (including dividend coming from my RRSP portfolio) to $9 302.72. Good financial news only follows good news these days, at least for me, and I guess also for everyone. The TSX is rocking my world and is on it's highest value EVER. With all this goodness, my net worth is probably in the $247 000. I hope the TSX will close on a good note so I can update my investment portfolio again. Who knows, I have all the chances of the world to hit on a $250k net worth real soon. And from there, just watch me reaching the 300k!!

Nice dreams, but while talking, I am more and more thinking about selling my investment in Corby Distilleries Limited (CSW.A). The money would go to pay down my margin account. I have close to 4k in cash inside my TFSA portfolio, but I don't know what o do with that money. Isn't it kind of a lovely problem, to have money to spend, to invest, to do whatever I want with it, but not knowing what do to with it? As you know if you read each and every single words of mine, I no longer have access to Stockopedia so I am kind of a dog trying to reach out to her tail, but obviously, I don't have one, and obviously, I no longer have that Stockopedia. The search for the perfect stock is still on and is a never-ending one.

One thing I know for sure, that 4k cash in my TFSA will remain in my TFSA. One reason is that I didn't make any new contribution to my TFSA portfolio so far for 2020. Having the chance to have money in cash inside a TFSA portfolio is a huge benefit. I believe that no one should take off money from a TFSA portfolio, unless you really need it. Right now, I am not feeling like moving that cash out from my TFSA.

Basically, I have no idea what to do with my money, but it's not a negative thing at all. It's quite ok this way, better to do nothing rather than doing a stupid and dumb investment move. Once I will know what to so, it will be the best investment move you will have never seen of your life, so have sweet dreams on that.
