Welcoming my highest net worth EVERRR: $593,798.04!

I was quite shocked when I updated my investment portfolio earlier today. I wasn’t expecting my net worth to be within the $593,000 range, so close to $594,000! I am now less than $7,000 away from reaching a $600,000 net worth. Today, my stocks alone gained over $6,000. And those gains were for today only, so if, by any chance, my portfolio could experience another gain of $6K to $7K tomorrow, it would seal the deal, and I would be happily sitting at $600K. However, having two gains in a row of over $6K would be quite surprising, but nothing is impossible on the stock market.

In my net worth, I only include my investments. I never include any material possessions or jewellery. I own a few pieces of gold jewellery. On me, at all times, I probably have between $4K and $5K worth of gold. I never went anywhere to have my gold jewellery evaluated, but I know for sure that it is worth a lot of money.

What I like about gold jewellery is that you can wear it at all times. I never remove mine. I have one small bracelet and two gold chains. In my opinion, gold jewellery is a quiet luxury. It’s easy to hold on to, easy to wear, and it doesn’t scream wealth. Wearing gold is quite discreet. It always depends on the piece, of course, but generally speaking, wearing gold is low key. You can exchange gold for money quite easily in many places in case of an emergency, so I quite like it.

Once I reach my first $600,000, I would like to buy myself a new gold bracelet to celebrate the new milestone. My only problem is that I have to save money for that purchase, but I will take my time. In Quebec City, there’s a highly popular jewellery store named Medusa. Montreal will soon have its own Medusa boutique, sometime in fall 2026, and it’s going to be very nice to see what they have to offer. This is the site of their future location.

Today, I reached my highest net worth ever, but I also recently reached another new record, this time in terms of dividend income from my non-registered and TFSA portfolios, which is now equivalent to $1,054 per month. Lately, many of my stocks have declared dividend increases:

Finning International (FTT) raised its dividend by 7.4%
Pembina Pipeline (PPL) raised its dividend by 3.5%
Caribbean Utilities (CUP.U) raised its dividend by 5%
IA Financial Corp. (IAG) raised its dividend by 11%
Brookfield Infrastructure (BIP.UN) raised its distribution by 5.8%
Power Corp. (POW) raised its dividend by 9%

In my non-registered portfolio, Pembina Pipeline (PPL) is one of my major holdings. Its 3.5% dividend increase really helped boost my dividend income.

There is a lot of uncertainty right now on the stock market. The days we are living through are not easy. It’s not the best time to invest in stocks, as they are currently trading near their highest values. Now is the best time to relax, enjoy the ride, and watch my assets grow.

It’s only recently that I realized that 2026 marks my 20th anniversary as a blogger on this channel. So I can say that today, I am enjoying the investments I have made over the past 20 years. When I first started this journey, I never had the $600,000 number in mind. No matter what happened next for the TSX, the 593k had been reached, and that's almost 600k. Good job.
