A Review of the ETFs that I hold inside my TFSA portfolio

I own quite a few ETFs in my TFSA portfolio. Some of them have been performing very well, while others haven't been doing so great. I thought it would be interesting to take a closer look at all the ETFs I currently hold in my TFSA portfolio and see how they've been performing. So, here they are:

As you can see, most of these ETFs are considered high-risk investments. However, I've only invested a small amount of money in each of them. Sometimes, I've purchased just a single share! I simply wanted to get a taste of what it's like to own some of the riskiest ETFs out there.

I don't disclose the number of shares I own in each investment for security reasons, but let's just say that for many of the ETFs mentioned in this post, I often own only a single share or just a few units. I hold quite a few stocks and ETFs, and sometimes I only take a quick look at how they're performing. So, going through all these ETFs in detail was quite an interesting exercise!

I was genuinely surprised to discover that my top-performing ETF is Harvest AMD Enhanced High Income Shares ETF (AMDY), with an impressive gain of over 90%. And its distribution yield is over 36%! My second-best performer is Hamilton Enhanced U.S. Covered Call ETF (HYLD), with a gain of 77.61%. I've held this ETF in my TFSA portfolio longer than most of my other ETFs.

When I first invested in HYLD, I was a little worried. Its 11.89% distribution yield seemed almost too high to be true. Of course, that was before I started investing in ETFs offering distribution yields of 30% or more! But I wanted to increase my exposure to the U.S. market a little.

Overall, I think HYLD might be one of my favourite ETFs. It's not my top performer, but I feel more comfortable holding it than many of the other ETFs in my portfolio.

At the moment, I don't plan to invest more money in these ETFs. However, I quite like some of them, especially those focused on individual stocks, such as Harvest Suncor Enhanced High Income Shares ETF (SUHE), Harvest JnJ Enhanced High Income Shares ETF Class A CAD (JNJY), Harvest Royal Bank Enhanced High Income Shares ETF (RYHE), Harvest CNQ Enhanced High Income Shares ETF (CNQE), and Harvest TD Bank Enhanced High Income Shares ETF (TDHE).

If I were to invest in ETFs again, I would probably choose HYLD, RYHE, CNQE and TDHE.

Currently, my annual dividend and distribution income from my non-registered and TFSA portfolios stands at exactly $12,851.86. Not a penny more, not a penny less!

I would really like to see that number grow to $13,000 by the end of the year. I'm less than $150 away from reaching that milestone! To get there, I could consider investing in a combination of a few more shares of SUHE, JNJY, RYHE, CNQE, TDHE and HYLD. It wouldn't required that of a big investment.
