Welcoming a $598,260.59 Net Worth

Currently, Montreal is living to the rhythm of F1! I am not a super fan of F1. I don’t know the names of most of the drivers, and I probably wouldn’t even recognize most of them if they were walking right next to me. However, I do enjoy the F1 festivities. It’s just such a fun time to be in downtown Montreal.

People were screaming: “LECLERCCCC!” So I think I caught Charles Leclerc. Can you see him?





I also took many other pictures, which I will be posting shortly.

I knew I was in for some gains again today. I quickly updated my investment portfolio one more time, only to discover that I closed today’s session with a net worth of $598,260.59. This means I am now missing exactly $1,739.41 before finally hitting the magical $600,000 mark.

This has been a long road. I sincerely cannot wait to actually get there. But once I do, guess what will happen? A brand-new quest will begin: the one for my first $700,000. And just like that, the same old beautiful drill will continue. Not that I’m complaining, but I have to admit that I sometimes find it quite demanding to always keep pushing further and further toward new money goals.

So far, U.S. futures are trading in positive territory, which gives me hope that the TSX may record some gains again tomorrow. And remember, I don’t need much. I only need $1,739.41! It would be simply amazing if I could make it tomorrow.

The road to the $600,000 has not exactly been a short one. I reached the $500,000 mark back in August 2025, so it has been almost a year now that I have been chasing this $600,000 net worth. At this point, I am feeling impatient. And fact that I am so close to the 600k is somewhat torturing me. It sincerely feels like now is the time and it could very soon… but it still has not happened yet. For me, this is quite an annoying little spot to be in.

The $500,000 mark was truly the magic number that changed everything for me. Whenever I record gains now, I can really feel the full weight and power of having a half-a-million-dollar net worth behind my back. Everything feels much more easier. Gains seem to come more naturally and quickly. My portfolio simply has more strength, more momentum, more presence.

I always knew that my investment portfolio had everything it needed to push me over the top. I consider it to be nothing less than a work of almost pure perfection. The perfect portfolio does not exist. But mine is very close to being almost perfect, at least in my eyes.

It took me 20 years to make it to almost $600,000. I have always invested over time, little by little, year after year. And if there is one lesson to take away from my journey, it is this: over time, you can make very good money on the TSX, even if you only invest small amounts regularly.

That would probably be my main message.

I want my blog to be the living illustration of all the power that the TSX holds. The TSX is powerful enough that even someone starting with very little can build real wealth over time. With patience, discipline, consistency, and a good selection of stocks, something extraordinary can slowly take shape.

Over time, the TSX becomes an extension of who you are. Your portfolio becomes part of your story. And your stocks, after all those years of holding them, watching them grow, collecting their dividends, and living through all the ups and downs, become truly yours.

Celebrating a $593,983.01 Net Worth

I thought I was in for a little more gain, to tell you the truth, but I am not dissatisfied. I am now missing less than $7,000 before finally hitting the $600,000 net worth mark. At this point, I don’t mind if it happens only for one single day. I just want to get it over with. Because once it happens once, it can happen again at any time, but I just need to break through at least one single time.

So far in 2026, my investments have gained over $67,000, which is quite amazing, especially knowing that we still have seven months left before year-end. I am wishing for the best, but a $67,000 gain is quite huge. I wonder if I can remain on a high note for the rest of the year. It’s kind of a strange spot to be in.

While the TSX is trading at new highs, stocks are more expensive than ever before. I recently saw a notice saying that Royal Bank of Canada (RY) was trading at its highest value ever. And the exact same thing is happening with many of my stocks. While those record gains are being registered, my net worth just continues to grow.

I am not investing in stocks right now. Currently, I only invest any new available money coming from my TFSA dividend income into new TD Cash Management ETF (TCSH) shares. Otherwise, I don’t have anything new in terms of investments.

We finally began to have some nice weather in Montreal. The weather was quite nice this past weekend. Montreal is blooming!
