Welcoming my highest net worth value EVER: $257,331.58

Today, I reached my highest net worth value ever: $257,331.58. Before today, my highest net worth value was reached back in February of this year: $257,187.44‬. I am currently exceeding my best result by only $144.14, but still, it's a little victory, especially knowing how difficult 2020 had been. I may be able to close the year on a $260k net worth. No one can know for sure, including me. Once you hit a certain number, and that the stock market goes all the way down, it's just a matter of time before you hit back your best number. I had experienced many highs and lows among the way and the drill remain the same. It can be tough sometimes, but one thing you can certainly keep in mind is that it's only a number.

The reality is that $257,331.58 is nice, but it doesn't change anything about my life. Even if I would have a 300k net worth, my life will remain the same, but that's the path I need to follow to jump to the real business Fact that I am now holding on to a $257,331.58 is certainly nice and more than I ever imagined, but that's only a number. Enjoy your time of glory when it comes - mine was today -, and if it has to go away, it will come back one day or the other, sooner or later.

I was off yesterday and today as well, I have a bunch of vacation days at work that I didn't take because I was always hoping that this pandemic was going to end... But December is about to kick in and the pandemic is still on, I took a few days here and there and I have close to 2 weeks off for Christmas, 2 weeks that I will, unfortunately, spend right here in Montreal. Today was Black Friday in Montreal stores and I had spent a bit of money. I bought a nice leather purse for my mom, but I will wait to see her before giving it to her. For my father, it's always difficult to find something. One year for Christmas, I gave him some beauty products - but for men, like lotion and stuff and I was laughing hard and ask him if we had like his gift. It was hilarious because it's just not his type of thing.

One year I bought a nice winter hat, another year a nice scarf, but now, I am a bit off in terms of a gift. Maybe a wallet? I cannot buy him perfume for sure because he couldn't stand the smell... All that to say that for my father, finding a gift is always more complicated. While this pandemic is still around, it gave me more time to find the perfect Christmas gift because I won't spend Christmas with them this year.

While spending more and more time here in Montreal, I decided today to registered back to Stockopedia, which means that I decided to pay to access the service. I had found many great stocks on Stockopedia, like Richards Packaging Income Fund (RPI.UN), Park Lawn Corporation (PLC) and many others.

Today, Stockopedia subscription was 50% off so I decided to take advantage. I miss Stockopedia. Now I am getting back into it and I already find some new stock picks that I will soon write about. Nothing been the satisfaction of finding a little something new for in investment portfolio and I totally get that with Stockopedia.

This is a great time to be an investor - so enjoy the moment because I know I am

I won't forget anytime soon the month of November 2020. It's been an amazing fun rally for my portfolio. In the space of only a month. I went from a $240 433.32 net worth to a $253,587.03 net worth back on November 24. I started the year 2020 with a $239,582.44 net worth.

Many great things are happening in my investment portfolio. First, inside my non-registered portfolio, Bank of Nova Scotia (BNS) finally started to grow again. I am currently experiencing a gain of 10.24%, for the shares that I hold inside my non-registered portfolio. Inside my RRSP portfolio, my BNS shares on a cutie 0.74% gain. Let's go BNS! Shake it up.

I have a margin value left of $21,831.61, with a margin debt of $47,484.89. In the circumstances, I am thinking about taking the shares that I own of Telus Corp (T) inside my non-registered portfolio to do a contribution in kind for my TFSA portfolio. This could be a great move to make, especially knowing that I have contribution room left for my TFSA. Over the past years, I like to use contribution in kind to contribute to my TFSA. It's quite an easy and effective way to use existing investment and make some capital and enjoy dividend distribution free of taxes. And because of that, over time, the list of stocks that I own inside my non-registered portfolio is getting shorter and shorter.

Other great things are happening for my non-registered portfolio. One of my long time holding that I really like, New Flyer Industries Inc. (NFI), is on a gain of 55.74%, just to name that one. I am experiencing great gains for many other stocks that I hold inside my non-registered portfolio. Even my investment in Aphria Inc. (APH) is starting to get better. I ready to hold on to APH until I recover and when that happens, trust me, it won't be long that I will flush out of the wood all the stocks I own of APH, or maybe I will just keep a third of the shares I will have to see.

Believe it or not, I am currently experiencing a little gain with Nutrien Ltd. (NTR), +%62. It took quite a long time, but it finally happens. This stock was offering a much better performance when it was standing alone as Agrium Inc. (AGU). I miss Agrium Inc. That stock was among my top performers. What Agrium had become doesn't meet my expectations.

One of my latest investment, JFT Strategies Fund Class A Units (JFS.UN) is on a gain of 2.25%. Things are slowly getting better for Boyd Group Services Inc. (BYD), which I am now on a little loss of only -0.97%. Just like it had been for Bank of Nova Scotia (BNS), this pandemic was quite rough for Canadian Imperial Bank Of Commerce (CM), but CM is slowly getting better and inside my TFSA portfolio, CM is experiencing a gain of +0.79%.

A while ago, Derek Foster announced that he had sell partly or all - Savaria Corporation (SIS). Personally, I hold some stocks of SIS in my non-registered, TFSA and RRSP portfolio. And I hold SIS in there even before it has become a "hot" Derek Foster stock. Because of that, I had experienced great gains on Savaria Corporation (SIS) inside my non-registered portfolio. I am thinking about partly sell that investment.

Otherwise, when I look at my 3 stocks portfolio, I am just amazed and I simply cannot help it. I am the TSX Queen with a big Q, that you like it or not.

Welcoming a $249,158.71 net worth

The TSX closed the trading week on a majestic 17,019.10 points, even exceeding the 17,000 points. We are lucky to be there. It looks to me as being an exaggerated positive reaction from the market, especially knowing that today, Toronto announced a lockdown starting Monday, but let say that for the moment, I am enjoying the gains. and of course, like usual these days, I quickly post an update of my investment portfolio. It's another "short cut" style version. I begin to like that shorten version.

My net worth is now at $249,158.71. I wasn't missing much to be sitting on a 250k. A 250k net worth is nothing new to me. I had a 250k back in January 2020. And shortly after, in February 2020, I was reaching my highest net worth value ever: $257,187.44‬. We could say that in 2020, I saw it all and we are not done with it yet. So far, November had been an awesome month for my net worth. I went from $240 433.32 back on November 9, to $249,158.71 on November 20.

Inside my TFSA portfolio, Northland Power Inc. (NPI) registered a gain of +3.87%, and inside my non-registered portfolio, New Flyer Industries Inc. (NFI) registered a gain of +5.58%. Boralex Inc. Class A Shares (BLX), a stock that I hold in both my TFSA and RRSP portfolios, registered today a gain of +3.292%. For NPI and NFI, I don't see any reason for the gains, but the case of BLX is different. BLX made some interesting acquisitions.

My debt situation on date of November 20, 2020

 Margin account: $47,484.89 @ 4%

Annual interest: $1,899.40
