Again this evening, I updated my investment portfolio, only to find out that I am now sitting on a $604,214.80 net worth! The TSX closed today’s session at a beautiful 34,830.89 points, up 359.53 points, or +1.04%. That strong gain helped push me even closer to the $605,000 mark. I am still digesting the fact that I am now officially in the $600K net worth range. Now that I am finally there, it almost feels unreal.
After work, I went for a little walk. Along the way, I came across some absolutely lovely lilac trees. Montreal is so beautiful at this time of year, when everything is blooming and the city begins to feel alive again.
At the same time, there is construction work going on just about everywhere in Montreal, including in my own surrounding area. At some spots, it is honestly difficult to understand what is going on. Still, I find it interesting to watch. Sometimes, the scenes are quite chaotic: orange cones everywhere, streets half-open, sidewalks blocked, construction sites that seem to be left unfinished...
And yet, somehow, there is a certain poetry within all that chaos. Montreal in the spring is a strange mix of beauty and disorder: lilacs in bloom, broken sidewalks, orange cones, traffic detours, and people simply trying to make their way through it all. How can such a beautiful city be so messy?

I'm curious, do you still add new money to your portfolio? Or is it just the current holdings that keep growing? Do you reinvest your dividends?
Beautiful pictures, by the way!
Thanks! I still add money in my money in my portfolio from time to time. And the money I earned from the dividend, I try to reinvest it. A big part of my dividend income is set up on a DRIP, so a big amount get reinvest automatically. With the warmer months, I spending more than usual so I don't currently invest any new money in my portfolio.
